Multiple Desktops? (a la Gnome)
Could this be because I'm trying to run two root KDE desktops? Desktop environments like KDE and Gnome2 aren't made to be run in more than once per user. You could do it if you could persuade the multiple instances to use different sets of read/write data. In /tmp I can see kde-<username> and ksocket-<username>,

How it is more complex than using "hide" and "hide others" to manage multiple applications? Or minimizing to the dock? This isn't rocket science. I can't believe that anyone would argue the issue. Two options: 1. Single desktop, single instance of each application 2. Multiple desktops, multiple instances of each

It seems nice enough (sans a notably missing firewire port.) It's also fantastic for presentations. Very easy to switch to the projector. Each desktop/laptop can synchronize with multiple Windows CE computers (I don't think the number has a limit). So, you can keep one Pocket PC synchronized with a computer at work and a computer at home. I think keeping business and personal data separated is difficult, because ActiveSynch has a limited set of

Right now, I have five Galeon windows open in Desktops #1-#5, nothing in #6 or #7,
